Cat. #000528: VICTOR BORGE

Charming 10x8-inch black and white portrait at the piano in his prime, boldly signed in blue felt-tip marker in the 1980s. In good condition, with a small fleck of soiling to the upper area. After a brief career as a film actor in his native Denmark in the 1930s, he embarked upon a career as a comedic concert pianist and composer, memorable for over-the-top skits involving "phonetic punctuation", "inflationary language", and playing classical sheet music backward and upside-down.
