Cat. #001091: BRIAN COX

Uncommon signature in bold blue marker on a 2x5-inch portion of a white card, acquired in-person at a press event in 2006.  In very good condition and ideal for matting.  After a decade and a half in supporting roles on television, the versatile character actor landed the plum role of Hannibal Lector in Michael Mann's Manhunter (1986), playing the good doctor as a glib, totally unfeeling psychopath, long before Anthony Hopkins reimagined him as a flamboyant bon vivant.  Cox went on to memorable work in a mixed bag of dramas; crime flicks; horror, sci-fi and fantasy films; and comedies, including Rob Roy (1995), Braveheart (1995), Chain Reaction (1996), The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996), Kiss the Girls (1997), Rushmore (1998), For Love of the Game (1999), Super Troopers (2001), The Bourne Identity (2002), The Ring (2002), Adaptation (2002), The Reckoning (2003), Troy (2004), The Bourne Supremacy (2004), Match Point (2005), The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle (2005), Running with Scissors (2006), Zodiac (2007), Shoot on Sight (2007), and Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011).
